I had a really wonderful partner to work with. Tamala Jones was so sweet, and she stayed there the whole scene, like, even when we were turning the cameras around. Cause I just wanted to stay in the room. I don’t like leaving the room if we’re doing something that’s a little bit more intense. I like staying in the space that we’re working with cause you can maintain focus a bit more. So she was a really wonderful scene partner to have there, and I think that was the thing. If you have someone to work with and the connection is honest, it frees you up to just let go and let the words do whatever the words have to do, and in that case, I think the words needed to, um, they were heavy, you know?
